Session: Supply Chain of RECs

Omar White leads 3Degrees’ environmental commodities origination and compliance sales efforts. In this role, Omar oversees 3Degrees’s procurement of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and carbon offsets, as well as the sale of these environmental commodities to utilities and other compliance entities. 

Omar possesses over ten years of experience in the commodities, foreign exchange, and interest rate capital markets. Prior to joining 3Degrees, Omar served as a Vice-President at Bank of America, where he launched the firm’s carbon trading desk. Omar professional experience also includes derivatives sales and trading roles at Citigroup and Banc of America Securities in London. 

Born and raised in Chicago, Omar earned a BA in Economics and Finance from Tuskegee University and an MBA in Finance from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
