About ghgLIVE

ghgLIVE is a series of workshops, training classes and job fairs related to the emerging, regulated low carbon economy.  The event series will kick off in North America in 2010.

The conference series will consist of 1, 2 and 3 day LIVE workshops, providing attendees with in-depth education and practical knowledge via small class room settings and taught by leading experts. The setting also provides "face to face" meeting and networking opportunities with fellow GHG professionals through classes, class room exercises, GHG membership meet-ups and job fairs.

The training and content of the courses is provided by the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (ghgmi) which is a nonprofit organization that trains professionals charged with measuring, accounting, auditing and managing GHG emissions. The Institute's membership program connects the largest global community of greenhouse gas and climate change experts in the world and is developing courses in multiple languages.

The workshops are organized by Koelnmesse Inc. and respond to the emerging need to measure and account GHG emissions globally. The goal of Koelnmesse is to offer ghgLIVE workshops in dozens of countries along with the current online curriculum by GHGMI, which is already accessible from anywhere in the world.

A plain English look at the post-Kyoto carbon market
10/31/2011 9:17:05 AM GHG and Carbon Accounting, Auditing, Management & Training | Greenhouse Gas Management Institute
“Will failure to strike a post-Kyoto deal in Durban kill the carbon market?” With the latest big annual United Nations climate conference just a month away in Durban, South Africa, this question is seeing attention from the press the world around. The question seems innocuous enough, but as with so much in climate policy —and particularly [...]
